2-я книга Царств

Глава 2

1 Позже Давид обратился к Господу за советом. Он спросил: «Идти ли мне против какого-либо из городов Иуды?» Господь сказал ему: «Иди». Давид спросил: «Куда мне идти?» Господь ответил: «В Хеврон».

2 И пошёл туда Давид с двумя своими жёнами, Ахиноамой изреелитянкой и Авигеей, вдовой Навала кармелитянина.

3 Давид привёл с собой и своих людей с семьями. Они поселились в Хевроне и в близлежащих городах.

4 Люди Иудеи пришли в Хеврон и помазали там Давида на царство над Иудеей, а потом рассказали ему, что жители Иависа Галаадского похоронили Саула.

5 Давид отправил послов к жителям Иависа Галаадского сказать им: «Господь благословит вас за то, что вы оказали эту милость своему господину Саулу и похоронили его.

6 Господь воздаст вам милостью и верностью. И я тоже буду милостив к вам за то, что вы сделали.

7 А сейчас будьте сильными и мужественными, так как ваш господин Саул умер, а род Иуды помазал меня царём над ним».

8 Авенир, сын Нира, начальник войска Саула, привёл Иевосфея, сына Саула, в Маханаим

9 и сделал его царём над Галаадом, Гешуром, Изреелем и Ефремом, Вениамином и над всем Израилем.

10 Иевосфею, сыну Саула, было сорок лет, когда он начал править Израилем, и царствовал он два года. Только род Иуды следовал за Давидом.

11 Давид царствовал в Хевроне над иудеями семь лет и шесть месяцев.

12 Авенир, сын Нира, и слуги Иевосфея, сына Саула, вышли из Маханаима в Гаваон.

13 Вышел и Иоав, сын Саруи, со слугами Давида, и они встретились у пруда в Гаваоне. Одни расположились на одной стороне пруда, а другие — на противоположной.

14 Авенир сказал Иоаву: «Пусть юноши померяются силами перед нами». Иоав ответил: «Хорошо, пусть так и будет».

15 И вышли двенадцать вениамитян со стороны Иевосфея, сына Саула, и двенадцать слуг Давида.

16 Они схватили друг друга за голову, вонзили меч один другому в бок и пали вместе. И поэтому это место в Гаваоне назвали Хелкаф-Хаццурим.

17 В тот день, после ожесточённого сражения, слуги Давида разбили Авенира и израильтян.

18 У Саруи было три сына: Иоав, Авесса и Асаил. Асаил очень быстро бегал, так быстро, как дикий олень.

19 Асаил побежал за Авениром и не переставал преследовать его.

20 Авенир оглянулся назад и спросил: «Ты ли это, Асаил?» Асаил ответил: «Да, это я».

21 Тогда Авенир попросил его: «Перестань преследовать меня. Сверни направо или налево. Выбери одного из молодых воинов, тебе будет легко взять его оружие». Но Асаил продолжал преследовать Авенира.

22 Авенир снова сказал Асаилу: «Перестань преследовать меня, иначе мне придётся тебя убить. Как смогу я тогда смотреть в лицо твоему брату Иоаву?»

23 Но Асаил не хотел останавливаться и продолжал бежать за Авениром. Тогда Авенир обратной стороной своего копья поразил его в живот. Копь пронзило его насквозь, и тогда Асаил упал и умер на месте. Иоав и Авесса преследуют Авенира Тело Асаила лежало на земле, и каждый, кто подходил к тому месту, где пал Асаил, останавливался, чтобы взглянуть на него.

27 И сказал Иоав: «Так же верно, как то, что Господь жив, если бы ты ничего сейчас не сказал, то люди преследовали бы своих братьев до утра».

28 Иоав затрубил в трубу, и его люди перестали преследовать израильтян и больше не сражались.

29 Авенир же и его люди шли по Иорданской долине всю ночь. Они перешли реку Иордан и шли весь день, пока не пришли в Маханаим.

30 Когда Иоав вернулся после преследования Авенира и собрал всех своих людей, оказалось, что недостаёт девятнадцати слуг Давида, включая Асаила.

31 Слуги Давида убили триста шестьдесят вениамитян, которые были с Авениром.

32 Они взяли тело Асаила и похоронили в могиле его отца в Вифлееме. Иоав со своими людьми шёл всю ночь, и на рассвете они достигли Хеврона.

Chapter 2

1 AND it came to pass after this, that David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to one of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said to him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, To Hebron.

2 So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail, Nabal's wife, the Carmelite.

3 And David and his men who were with him went up together, every man with his household; and they dwelt in Hebron.

4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.

5 And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD, that you have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Saul, and have buried him.

6 And now may the LORD show kindness and truth to you; and I also will requite you this kindness, because you have done this thing.

7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened and be valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.

8 But Abner the son of Ner, commander of Saul's army, took Ashbashul, the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;

9 And made him king over Gilead and over Geshur and over Jezreel and over Ephraim and over Benjamin and over all Israel.

10 Ashbashul Saul's son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David.

11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.

12 And Abner the son of Ner and the servants of Ashbashul the son of Saul went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

13 And Joab the son of Zoriah and the men of David went out and met the young men together in Gibeon; and they sat down, these young men on the one side and the other young men on the other.

14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.

15 Then there arose and went over by number twelve of the men of Benjamin, who belonged to Ashbashul the son of Saul and twelve of the men of David.

16 And every man caught his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in the other's side; so they fell down together; therefore they called that place Haklath-zadan, which is in Gibeon.

17 And there was a very fierce battle that day; and Abner was defeated, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.

18 And there were three sons of Zoriah there, Joab, Abishai, and Ashael; and Ashael was as swift of foot as a desert gazelle.

19 And Ashael pursued Abner; and he turned not to the right hand nor to the left as he followed Abner.

20 Then Abner looked behind him and said, Is that you, Ashael? And he answered, It is I.

21 And Abner said to him, Turn aside to your right hand or to your left, and seize one of the young men and take for yourself his armor. But Ashael would not turn aside from following him.

22 And Abner spoke again to Ashael, to turn from following him, saying, Turn from following me, lest I smite you and throw you on the ground; how then could I lift up my face and look at Joab your brother.

23 But he refused to turn; therefore Abner smote him with the end of the spear upon his breast, and the spear came out at his back; and he fell down there and died in the same place; and all who came to the place where Ashael fell down and died stood still.

24 Then Joab and Abishai arose and pursued Abner; and the sun went down when they came to lake Giboath which lies before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.

25 And the Benjamites gathered themselves together behind Abner, and became one company, and stood on the top of a hill.

26 Then Abner called to Joab and said, Shall the sword devour forever? Do you not know that there will be bitterness in the end? How long will it be then before you bid the people return from following their brethren?

27 And Joab said, As the LORD lives, unless you had spoken, surely in the morning I would have let the people give up every one from pursuing his brother.

28 So Joab blew the trumpet, and all the people stood still and pursued Israel no more, neither did they fight any more.

29 And Abner and his men walked all that night in the desert, and crossed the Jordan, and went toward Geshur, and they came to Mahanaim.

30 And Joab returned from following Abner; and when he had gathered all the people together and they were numbered, there were twelve wounded of David's men, and Ashael was dead.

31 But the men of David had slain of Benjamin and of Abner, three hundred and sixty men.

32 And they took Ashael and buried him in the sepulchre of his father in Beth-lehem. And Joab and his men marched all night, and the day dawned upon them at Hebron.

2 So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail, Nabal's wife, the Carmelite.

3 Давид привёл с собой и своих людей с семьями. Они поселились в Хевроне и в близлежащих городах.

3 And David and his men who were with him went up together, every man with his household; and they dwelt in Hebron.

4 Люди Иудеи пришли в Хеврон и помазали там Давида на царство над Иудеей, а потом рассказали ему, что жители Иависа Галаадского похоронили Саула.

4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.

5 Давид отправил послов к жителям Иависа Галаадского сказать им: «Господь благословит вас за то, что вы оказали эту милость своему господину Саулу и похоронили его.

5 And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD, that you have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Saul, and have buried him.

6 Господь воздаст вам милостью и верностью. И я тоже буду милостив к вам за то, что вы сделали.

6 And now may the LORD show kindness and truth to you; and I also will requite you this kindness, because you have done this thing.

7 А сейчас будьте сильными и мужественными, так как ваш господин Саул умер, а род Иуды помазал меня царём над ним».

7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened and be valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.

8 Авенир, сын Нира, начальник войска Саула, привёл Иевосфея, сына Саула, в Маханаим

8 But Abner the son of Ner, commander of Saul's army, took Ashbashul, the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;

9 и сделал его царём над Галаадом, Гешуром, Изреелем и Ефремом, Вениамином и над всем Израилем.

9 And made him king over Gilead and over Geshur and over Jezreel and over Ephraim and over Benjamin and over all Israel.

10 Иевосфею, сыну Саула, было сорок лет, когда он начал править Израилем, и царствовал он два года. Только род Иуды следовал за Давидом.

10 Ashbashul Saul's son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David.

11 Давид царствовал в Хевроне над иудеями семь лет и шесть месяцев.

11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.

12 Авенир, сын Нира, и слуги Иевосфея, сына Саула, вышли из Маханаима в Гаваон.

12 And Abner the son of Ner and the servants of Ashbashul the son of Saul went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

13 Вышел и Иоав, сын Саруи, со слугами Давида, и они встретились у пруда в Гаваоне. Одни расположились на одной стороне пруда, а другие — на противоположной.

13 And Joab the son of Zoriah and the men of David went out and met the young men together in Gibeon; and they sat down, these young men on the one side and the other young men on the other.

14 Авенир сказал Иоаву: «Пусть юноши померяются силами перед нами». Иоав ответил: «Хорошо, пусть так и будет».

14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.

15 И вышли двенадцать вениамитян со стороны Иевосфея, сына Саула, и двенадцать слуг Давида.

15 Then there arose and went over by number twelve of the men of Benjamin, who belonged to Ashbashul the son of Saul and twelve of the men of David.

16 Они схватили друг друга за голову, вонзили меч один другому в бок и пали вместе. И поэтому это место в Гаваоне назвали Хелкаф-Хаццурим.

16 And every man caught his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in the other's side; so they fell down together; therefore they called that place Haklath-zadan, which is in Gibeon.

17 В тот день, после ожесточённого сражения, слуги Давида разбили Авенира и израильтян.

17 And there was a very fierce battle that day; and Abner was defeated, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.

18 У Саруи было три сына: Иоав, Авесса и Асаил. Асаил очень быстро бегал, так быстро, как дикий олень.

18 And there were three sons of Zoriah there, Joab, Abishai, and Ashael; and Ashael was as swift of foot as a desert gazelle.

19 Асаил побежал за Авениром и не переставал преследовать его.

19 And Ashael pursued Abner; and he turned not to the right hand nor to the left as he followed Abner.

20 Авенир оглянулся назад и спросил: «Ты ли это, Асаил?» Асаил ответил: «Да, это я».

20 Then Abner looked behind him and said, Is that you, Ashael? And he answered, It is I.

23 But he refused to turn; therefore Abner smote him with the end of the spear upon his breast, and the spear came out at his back; and he fell down there and died in the same place; and all who came to the place where Ashael fell down and died stood still.

26 Then Abner called to Joab and said, Shall the sword devour forever? Do you not know that there will be bitterness in the end? How long will it be then before you bid the people return from following their brethren?

28 So Joab blew the trumpet, and all the people stood still and pursued Israel no more, neither did they fight any more.

29 Авенир же и его люди шли по Иорданской долине всю ночь. Они перешли реку Иордан и шли весь день, пока не пришли в Маханаим.

29 And Abner and his men walked all that night in the desert, and crossed the Jordan, and went toward Geshur, and they came to Mahanaim.

30 And Joab returned from following Abner; and when he had gathered all the people together and they were numbered, there were twelve wounded of David's men, and Ashael was dead.
